"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Carrie Geitner wants to represent the people of County Commission District 2 because she cares about her neighbors, helping families, building our community, and securing our right to make choices for ourselves.
Geitner wants to keep the cost of living low, make sure families feel safe, keep opportunity growing, and safeguard the western, conservative way of life. Specifically, she is focused on regional water planning to ensure water is available for years to come, stopping the danger of illegal marijuana grows from invading our neighborhoods, protecting the rights of hard-working property owners, and being responsible with tax dollars.
Water is a precious resource that we are all concerned with preserving. Regional water solutions must be pursued in unincorporated areas of El Paso county not served by Colorado Springs Utilities to provide water security for the future.
Public safety is a primary function of government. We must balance the needs of our community with the desire to keep taxes and therefore the cost of living low. That requires appropriate prioritization and thoughtful planning.
Maintaining our roads and bridges must be a priority throughout the county. Rapidly growing areas, particularly on the eastern side of the district, need special attention and planning for the future.
Your tax dollars should be appropriately prioritized and directed toward essential functions of government. Each dollar should be spent responsibly so that we can all live affordably and keep taxes as low as possible.
